    What makes eVent better?

The critical difference between eVent technology and traditional waterproof/breathable fabrics is the millions of microscopic pores built in to eVent's proprietary membrane that work instantly to vent water vapor (sweat) that builds up inside your apparel and footwear when you perform.

This is called Direct Venting™ technology, and unlike other technologies, it doesn't need to get wet to work. It’s a 'dry system' that allows eVent fabrics to be fully waterproof and fully breathable – keeping you dry and comfortable in the widest range of temperatures and conditions.

Direct Venting™ technology is engineered to keep you in the ‘dry zone’ – a steady state of temperature and humidity that reduces the wild swings our bodies go through to stay in balance during physical exertion.

The result is that you’ll spend more time performing at your best and less time fussing with your gear. And when conditions are bad, that can make all the difference.

    Fabric Care

    More ways to care

Your garment made with eVent fabrics may contain a durable water repellent finish (DWR) on the exterior of the fabric that serves as a first barrier to penetration of the fabric by external water. This DWR finish degrades over time and will occasionally need to be replenished. You will be able to tell when this water repellency has degraded because water will cease to bead up on the fabric. Even though the waterproof eVent membrane is still keeping the water from passing through the fabric, performance will be increased if you maintain the DWR finish with regular treatments. We suggest treating the DWR finish at the same time as your regular garment washings.

How to wash your eVent garment

Always follow the garment manufacturer’s care and use instructions. Below are general considerations for maintaining garments with eVent fabrics. Avoid heavy soiling, which could affect membrane performance temporarily. Thorough washing will generally maintain and restore product performance. Regular washing of your eVent garment will enhance product performance. Your garment may be machine washed in warm water (110F / 40C) with liquid detergent, and we recommend a second rinse to remove all traces of detergent from the fabric. We recommend you drip-dry your garment. Remember also to refer to the garment manufacturer’s guidelines. Do not use fabric softeners or bleach. Never dry-clean your garment. We also recommend that you avoid ironing the garment, but if you do, use the steam setting on no higher temperature than “warm”. At some temperatures, the heat from the iron can have a rejuvenating effect on the DWR finish but there is a greater potential for fabric damage if the iron is too hot.

    Hydro-Elite Jacket

Haven't used it yet, so this is an initial impression.....

Love it. I'm a big guy and it fits well. Overall appears to be very well constructed. I'm supposed to shoot Skeet in two days and rain is in the forecast. Will update.

On another note, had an issue with another order (through Amazon) and the customer service was beyond belief. Truly outstanding!!!

    Great Jacket

I have been looking for a jacket for shooting sporting clays in marginal weather. This is it! The jacket is sharp looking, light weight, water tight and has sufficient pockets for storage and lots of comfort for movement.

    Super-Waterproof Shooting Jacket

Recently used this jacket at Del Norte Rod and Gun Club in Northern-most California. Raining in buckets would be an understatement. All in all it was a great shoot and I came through it completely dry.

    Great Shooting coat.

I have long arms, so liked the length of the pockets on the XL, but the shoulders and shoulder shooting patch were too loose. I went for the Large and the shoulders and shooting patch are a much better fit. Pockets are a little higher than my other shooting vests, but will get the hang of it I am sure.

Lots to like about this coat, the underarm vents are great as is the vented back, the bi fold shoulder's and the elastic waist are a big plus with the shooting movement. Jacket is not to heavy and there is enough room for layering a little if needed. Stowaway hood is a great feature as well and the large inside pocket is great for glass storage.

Rain coat that works like it says it does

Coat works as advertised. Really like the cuffs that are up inside the sleeve to keep water out.
