If you like the carrying capacity and accessories on our regular Wild Hare vests, but want something more streamlined, then this new Wild Hare Half Vest is for you. It has all the storage/carrying capacity of a full vest but is contained right on your belt. Perfect for the blistering hot days of Summer. A full box of shells (box and all) fits easily in each pocket. Save your empty hulls in the rear reloader pouch and empty them quickly and easily with the 2-way zipper. The belt is easily removed and exchanged for the optional 60" or 70" belt if necessary.

If you're worried about whether the Half Vest will fit a youth, then fear not. The Small-Medium version has a removable reloader pouch (secured by 4 snaps), allowing the belt to tighten down to 18 inches if necessary. Then just add the reloader pouch back as your youth shooter grows.

Great for Teams Too! If you're looking for a cost effective option for your team, the Half Vest is a perfect option. The large 4-5 inch panel on the left pocket is easily embroidered by your local shop.

Best half vest for the money.

I bought one of these at the beginning of the year and I'm very pleased with what I got. I use it every week so it gets it use in. The only 2 issues I have are the belt keep loosening. I would pay extra for a better belt. And after 2 months some of the stitching started to come undone. It was an easy fix. As I am handy guy theses issues did not bother me. But at the end of the day it's Pockets will hold all your shells. The empty shell pouch will hold all your hulls and it will do it for the most reasonable price on the market.

I do recommend this half vest to people who are interested in one.

    Best half vest.

I shoot Sporting every week year round At Rio Salado Sportsman's Club in Mesa Arizona....It's HOT, REAL HOT, here in the summer, even a full mesh vest is too HOT. Your product is very well made, and comfortable the only suggestion I have for improvement would be a pocket for 2 extended choke tubes and a real leather belt. I would pay more for these additions. The nylon belt slips through the adjuster and it seems that I almost always pinch myself when using the plastic buckle provided. I purchased a nice wide leather belt and now for me it's perfect!

I received my "Half Vest" this week and am very pleased with the build quality and materials. I live in FL and most of the year it is hot and humid; a full vest just adds to the misery and the Half Vest is more versatile than a shell bag. If you shoot both right and left handed like me, the Half Vest is great as you can keep shells on both sides and reaching the shell bag through the slanted rear pockets on either side is easy. Nice heavy duty dump zipper too. The front inner expanding pockets (single snap each side) are good and deep. The pleated outer pockets will hold a box of 12 ga. or at least 50 loose in each pocket. The 2 shell caddy pocket is nice and snug for 12 ga. and if using 20 ga. or .410 the velcro flap closure with retain them securely.

I'm 6'2", 190 lbs with a 36" waist and the Large (2XL) fits great. The belt is pretty much at it's minimum adjustment so if your smaller in the waist I'd recommend the Small-Medium size. If I try to make the belt super snug (way too tight on me) it begins to bunch the material up as the front pockets and shell bag begin to collide on the belt. Remember, on the Large you cannot remove the shell bag like you can on the Small-Medium.

I have only used it twice so far. After using the Half Vest for the season, I'll come back and write a update on it's durability and any other thoughts I have. So far, I am very impressed with both the service and quality from Wild Hare.
